My Story

I'm nothing special; just your average forty year old woman living in the eastern part of the United States with my husband and two children.  I have always loved to write and found a love for blogging over a decade ago.

I was born on Long Island, New York and am the youngest of four children.  A few months before turning fourteen my parents decided life in New York was too expensive and we packed up and moved to Pennsylvania.  I have been a resident of this state since.  My teen years saw some very hard times but at the age of nineteen I found God and have been living for His grace since, or at least trying to.

Also at the age of nineteen I met a man who showed me that I am worth being loved.  We were only friends for a few years first but then decided we were meant to be more.  In the spring of 2002 we exchanged vows in front of our family and closest friends. Our marriage saw some hard times but it has been an overall wonderful journey.  I'm so excited to have this man to spend the rest of my life with.

Together we brought two amazing kids into this world.  Well, of course I'm going to say they are amazing; I'm their mother!  They each come with their own personalities; my son has always been laid back and quiet while my daughter can be strong-willed and stubborn.  Yet they are both sweet, smart and everything wonderful.  These two gave me a meaning of life that no one else could.  God blessed me so much when he gave me my husband and children.  I consider myself quite lucky!

So that's me in a nutshell. 

I like to use this blog as a place for me to jot down the experiences, trials and achievements with being a stay-at-home mother.  I also add recipes, exercise tips, my health and fitness progress, craft projects and plenty of other things.  Welcome to my little part of the world wide web.
